Day 2

Whew what a day!!! Left Williams in perfect weather on way up to grand cyn, walked around and looked at the 'big hole in the ground' which was phenomenal.  Right out of Grand cyn Ken's saddle bag tried to eject, Brad was behind him and stopped us before disaster.  Got that fixed and from there we bombed down to Tuba City avoiding a really nasty looking down pour.
On to Kayenta so I could re-live my youth and have a Navajo Taco...but before that we had to endure almost 70 miles of heavy rain and, road puddles (bad and bad on a harley), and one river crossing...also very bad on a harley.  We made it though to clearing skies and my old stomping grounds (really knocking grounds but that is another story) and everyone seemed to really enjoy their Navajo tacos at Amigos Cafe.
Next on to Monument Valley and Four Corners.  Monument Valley just has to be seen in person (like the aforementioned 'big hole in the ground').  The landscapes and cloud patched sky was just beyond words (but don't worry I'll post pictures later.). Four corners is a shitty tourist stop where you pay 5 bux to take ur picture standing in 4 states...woohoo.  but, you have to do it...right?
Still great weather so on to Cortez Co. for our first night of camping.  We rolled into KOA just before dark and right as we got off our bikes the sky said, "nope! F*** you! "And dumped everything she had on us.  We quickly changed gears (literally) and headed for the nearest Holiday Inn.  All I all a great day.  Tomorrow should be just as good....Colorado Rocky Mountain High here we come!!! (Hope to camp in Carbondale...)
